I first started working with Bryce the winter after my sophomore cross country season, and I can say that his training method and coaching program has helped me improve my running. I went from running a nineteen minute 5k my sophomore year to an eighteen minute 5k my junior year. Every part of the training plan has a purpose to ensure quality training which is exactly what every athlete needs. Not only does he help with running, but he is also knowledgeable in other areas like lifting, gear, college running, and navigating injuries. Before my track season last year, I developed some pain in my achilles tendon most likely due to running on uneven surfaces in the winter. Bryce was able to work with me to create a training plan that allowed it to heal while still keeping a high level of fitness going into the season. The pain completely went away after some time, and I ended up breaking my school’s two mile record on my first ever meet. Not only has he helped me with training, but he has also met with me to discuss what it’s like running in college. I showed some interest in furthering my running career, and it was nice to talk with someone who has been through the experience before. Overall, everything about the training has proven to be successful and I value the many things that I learned throughout my time working with him.
